A group of youngsters from the city had a different Christmas outing this season. Fifteen of them in the age group of 10 to 14 chose to have an exclusive studio tour of The Toonz Animation studio in Technopark here.
The studio tour covered the entire production steps of ‘Jil Jil Genie’, a home production of Toonz. It was followed by screening of a ‘Jil Jil Genie’ film and a chat with Mahesh Vettiyar, director.

A closer look at the processes involved in animation got the kids to appreciate their animation films better.
They even got a sneak peek at how animated e-cards were being made.
Swapna, a parent, said that this was a dream come true since kids probably never imagined the kind of work that goes into making of cartoons.
