Tata First Dot workshop at Technopark Campus

Tata First Dot 2012, powered by NEN, a platform for student entrepreneurship supporting and accelerating high-potential entrepreneurship,  on Friday. 16th November 2012 at the Technopark Campus here The workshop is designed to help student entrepreneurs and those aspiring to get started, understand business models, plans and stakeholder expectations more effectively. As many as 37 students from 13 institutes in Kerala participated in the event, some of whom were invited to participate in the competition for the title ‘Best Student Startup’.Image removed. The institutions which participated included Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Mar Baselios College, Narayanaguru College of Engineering, Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology, Musaliar College of Engineering, Marian College and Noorul Islam University. The workshop was led by Radhika Meenakshi from NEN. Students also interacted with guest speaker K Kesavasamy, global head, Academic Interface Programme, Tata Consultancy Services, Thiruvananthapuram. Kesavasamy said that Kerala has a special element of entrepreneurship and one attribute to imbibe from the Tata group of companies for entrepreneurial success is leading change. The Tata NEN First Dot provides an ideal platform to discuss and understand this attribute. Five winners for best student start-ups will be selected by an eminent panel of business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs. Contestants will also participate in the online voting-based student competition, the Tata First Dot ‘People’s Choice’ Competition. __________________
