Talents from techies is nothing new to the world. They come up with short films, dramas etc every now and then. Here is a classic example of yet another rising star from the techie world. After shot films and his recent album 'ennum swantham', which banked thousands of hits in youtube, Sarat Sadasivan Pillai is back wirh yet another surprise. This time its a malayalam book with 3 wonderful short stories.
Name of the book is Pettikada.com. The name refers to one of the 3 short stories in the book where in which a small shop owner gets fantasized by am advertisement about a jewelery and desires to have web site for his small shop. The story takes the reader into minute details of body language and attire combined with humor related scenes. The story ends with the shop owner winning a case against the software company and renovates his shop. Th second story refers to a village where a shop owners one ear is defend by a cranker sound and the whole village gets into resolving it. The story whirls around the simple, humorous and innocent minds of the villagers. The third story is a tragic one in which a young man gets appointed to a government job and come s to Trivandrum. He gets fascinated by a young and charming beggar girl. As he gets transferred back to his native he asks support from his friend in Trivadrum to help the girl, who finally abuse the girl. The story ends in tragedy as the man comes back for the girl and understands the bad situation shes in.
Sarat Sadasivan Pillai is working as Tech.Lead at TATA ELXSI technopark and have won several prizes for skits and dramas inside and outside technopark. He has served as arts club secretary in his college days. He has come up with short films and albums for which he himself had written the story, script and directed. Recently he had written lyrics, script, choreographed and directed a Malayalam album 'ENNUM SWANTHAM'. The music department was handled by his colleagues Fezin, Sujth and Gayatri. Lavanya and Sujith acted in the video with Gopakar editing it to perfection. All the team except the camera man were from TATA ELXSI.. The album has thousands of hits to its account and had been highlighted for its perfection in “The New Indian Express'” news paper.He had also been interviewed in channels like Today TV for his contributions to short films and albums.
