Kerala Governor Nikhil Kumar suggested deploying Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) type security cover for Technopark campus and introduction of helicopter services as an alternate mode of the IPS-officer turned Governor visited Technopark on Thursday and held discussions with senior officials.
Responding to security concerns within the campus the Governor suggested a CISF-model security cover for the IT campus. “We cannot be lax about security arrangements. Taking into consideration coastal infiltration, internal infiltration and internal security it is necessary to go for “Smart Security” even if it appears exaggerated, ” the governor said.
Nikhil Kumar was given a presentation on Technopark, its development and facilities. He was also taken on a campus tour of Technopark. He offered to speak to industry leaders to bring in investments to the state. IT principal secretary P.H. Kurian, Technopark chief executive officer K.G. Gireesh Babu and Technopark senior business development manager M. Vasudevan were present.
