Three-day technology exposition at CDAC, Technopark campus

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), a research and development organisation of Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, conducting a three-day technology exposition at CDAC, Technopark campus, from May 8. Events such as product exhibitions, technology seminars, project ideas presentations and quiz are to be conducted on these days as part of the technology expo. Also, an advanced medical screening utilising the services of two projects in the Medical Informatics Division, Sanjeevani and Sunayana, will also be conducted. Sanjeevani is the mobile telemedicine unit which provides a virtual super-specialty environment in rural areas for early cancer detection, follow up, consultation, palliative care. Sunayana is the mobile tele-opthalmology unit. Image removed. Health and Family Welfare Minister V S Sivakumar inaugurated the advanced medical screening as part of the expo on Wednesday. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the seminar on ‘Technology trends and directions for Future’ on Thursday. The seminar will deal with technology advancement in which eminent personalities and visionaries from the technology management domain will speak. There will be live demonstrations of various products as part of the research and development activities being carried out by CDAC. The registration for the event is free. The National Technology Day and valedictory function will be held on Friday.
