31st March, 25th Birthday for Technopark - Let us salute Sri E K Nayanar and other visionaries who worked hard to make Technopark

This granite plaque laid on the very same day, 25 years before, witnessed a revolution, which changed the lives of lakhs of people and showcased the true potential of our state. The foundation stone laid by Sri E K Nayanar, Chief minister of Kerala and presided by Smt K R Gowri Amma, Minister for industries on 31st March 1991. K P P Nambiar, Honorary Special Advisor, Government of Kerala & First Chair Person, Project Implementation Board, who drew up the blue print for Techno Park were also present at the function. Let’s salute those visionaries who worked hard to make Technopark, Trivandrum the best in the world. In March 1990, the Government of Kerala conceptualised Technopark as a facility to foster the development of high-technology industries in the state. Technopark was set up under the auspices of Electronics Technology Park, Kerala—an autonomous body under the Department of Information Technology of the government of Kerala. Technopark_foundation (1)Technopark's aim was to create infrastructure and provide support required for the development of high-technology companies. It's stated mission is to "Provide, Viably, Superior Environment and Services with Assured Quality of Service to Make Technology Businesses Intrinsically Competitive And Successful, and Promote Regional Development through Synergistic Linkages Between Industry, Government and Academia, based on Continuous Improvement and Innovation".
