Harmony

Enclosed was I, in darkness alive,

Bowered by the safest shell of shelter.

Floating was I, in the divine fluid of life,

Tumbling and tossing, helter-skelter.

Passed by, lonesome days and nights,

Twisting, turning, bouncing around.

Crack! Popped the walls of my tiny world,

Embracing warm rays of the winter sun surround.

A gentle breeze caressing my naked body,

Awestruck, gazed I at the vista of greens and blues.

Waken, was my frozen consciousness,

Wrapped in cozy feathers of vibrant hues.

The warmth where I find solace,

The benign beak where my hunger ends.

In an eggshell, unseen, over a vermilion blossomed palas,

Curling myself into my comfort-zone binds.

Tiny feathers emerging out of my naked body,

A sense of pride! A symbol of morale!

Step out and watch the world so shoddy!

Hustled the once-hued wings turning pale.

Pried I, gently at a strange world outside.

Struck hard, on me, a fear of unknown.

Offering nothing left for me to decide,

Bumped down, got I, by Mama's beaks in frown.

Off I fell, with a clamorous collapse,

The rough road making my footsteps ache.

Burning was my tender skin, by sunburst perhaps.

Roars of laughter around stirring a reality wake.

Struggling to go back, with tears of rue,

Craving to shut myself back in my eggshell.

Shouting, crying, yelling in distress too,

Just for the nature to return the echo of my yell.

Slowed I, to witness my trembling steps stay.

The bumpy road no more aches my toes,

The blazing rays no more burns me away.

Aquainting myself, with a bizzare world of foes.

Smiled I in zing, at a world so different.

Treading the rough road, Lifting wings of virtue,

Off I soar in the scorching Sun, towards eternity,

And there do I see, yet another flock following me!
