The tournament was inaugurated by Bala Kiran, director, Akshaya State Project. This year, around 129 teams from various Technopark companies are participating in the matches showing more team cohesiveness and team spirit among companies. The matches will be conducted on Saturdays, Sundays and other public holidays for the next three months. The inaugural match was played between 3E IT Solutions and Accel Frontline Limited. Bala Kiran interacted with the players and also played a warm up session with the participants. 3E IT Solutions won the inaugural match. “All work and no play make techies totally dull. Initially when we started the tournament, there were only 18 teams and this edition we have reached 129. Hopefully the next season will see around 200 teams vying for the coveted title. Such activities help the techies to unwind from their normal monotonous routine of hectic work and adds spice to their work life,” Girish Babu, CEO, Technopark, said. “The finals will be held during the first week of April and this year we are planning to invite Kerala Cricket Association officials as well as celebrity Indian Cricketer Sreesanth. We aim to make Technopark Premier League the biggest cricketing event in the state,” Technopark officials said during the inaugural event. Technopark Senior Business Development Manager M Vasudevan, CFO and MD TTBI K C Chandrasekharan Nair and Officer HR and Administration Abhilash D S attended the function.
