Kochi Metro to go paperless thanks to Technopark firm ( Ospyn Technologies )

Known as DDFS, the system will digitize and automate file processing and document management system at Kochi Metro, a company spokesman said here. Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (Keltron) will be the implementation partner for the venture. The new system will computerise and streamline Kochi Metro’s office document movement process and achieve 200 to 400 per cent increase in processing speed and overall efficiency management. Entire paperwork and document work flow can be seamlessly automated without disrupting existing procedures for review, verification, approvals and storage. Being a web-based application, it enables monitoring and approvals even when the delegated authorities are out of office. Decision Making The system will give the user a bird’s eye view of the complete lifecycle of a document, the spokesman said. At a given time, it is possible to view the status of the document, at which desk it is placed on, or whether it is available for retrieval, etc. It will also ensure that officers have quick and instant access of relevant data and documents, enabling rapid decision-making. Easy availability of all official documents is rendered possible, which in turn increases productivity and aids in faster customer service.
