technoparktoday.com launched online library exclusively for technopark employees

Catering to the reading appetite of techies of the capital city’s IT hub, Technopark, this Reading Day saw the launch of an online lending library-cum-book club ‘Reader’s Delight.’ Managed by the IT news portal technoparktoday.com, the library is meant for the employees in Technopark alone. Works by noted Indian and foreign authors are available in the library and books in Malayalam will be added very soon. From a number of topics, the books can be chosen according to one’s taste. “There are many in Technopark who love reading. Some have started suggesting books to add to the bookstore,” said Suryajith S, administrator of technoparktoday.com. Within one day of its launch, the library has received a good response from the techies. Image removed. For joining ‘Reader’s Delight’, membership has to be taken by remitting a refundable fee. Ten per cent of the price of the book has to be given as rent so that the book can be kept for a particular number of days. “Currently, the library has the book collection with one of us and also books from a nearest bookstore. There are plans to rope in more bookstores and publishers for the library,” said Suryajith. Soon, an exclusive website for the library will be launched. If anyone wishes to browse through the list of books, log on to technoparktoday.com. On Facebook, it is available on the link facebook.com/tpbooksrental. Facility to buy books at a discount of 15 to 25 per cent is also possible in the library. Right now, if anyone wishes to be a member, they can inbox to technoparktoday@gmail.com and furnish as subject line followed by the title of the book along with contact details in the body. http://newindianexpress.com/cities/thiruvananthapuram/Technopark-Now-an-online-library/2013/06/21/article1644658.ece
